Solvent-based single-component polyurethane waterproof coating

Single-component, solvent-based polyurethane waterproofing coating is a reactive, moisture-curing, film-forming polymer coating. It is produced using a specialized process involving high-temperature dehydration and polymerization, with isocyanates and polyethers as the primary materials, combined with additives such as mixed latent curing agents and plasticizers. When applied to a waterproofing substrate, the -NCO terminal groups in the polyurethane prepolymer react chemically with atmospheric moisture to form a tough, flexible, and seamless rubber-like waterproof membrane on the substrate surface.

Product Features:
· A single coat can achieve a thickness of 1–3 mm, resulting in a dense coating free of pinholes and air bubbles. · It exhibits strong adhesion; no primer is required on compliant substrates. The color is customizable to meet diverse customer preferences regarding surface appearance.
· Ready-to-use on-site for convenient application. It has lenient requirements regarding substrate moisture content, allowing for application on damp surfaces or in high-humidity conditions.
The polyurethane coating offers high tensile strength, high elongation, and excellent elasticity; it performs well across a wide temperature range and effectively accommodates substrate shrinkage, cracking, and deformation.

Scope of Application
Suitable for waterproofing various civil and industrial buildings, including roofs, basements, bathrooms, and swimming pools. It is particularly well-suited for waterproofing areas with complex shapes and intricate piping layouts.

Construction Method
The substrate must be solid, level, free of debris, and thoroughly dry. Internal and external corners should be rounded; internal corners require a radius greater than 50 mm, and external corners require a radius greater than 10 mm.
Mixing and Dosage: Mix thoroughly before use according to the required quantity. The reference dosage is approximately 1.3–1.5 kg/m² for a 1 mm thick coating. Large-area waterproofing: Apply the mixed coating evenly using a rubber or plastic scraper or by spraying. Ensure uniform thickness—typically 1.5–2.0 mm—applied in 3–4 passes. Subsequent passes should be applied perpendicular to the previous one after the prior layer has cured into a film. For underground flooring, an additional layer of reinforcing fabric should be embedded.
Coating Thickness: 1.2–2.0 mm for underground projects (typically 1.5 mm); no less than 1.5 mm for bathrooms/washrooms. For exposed roofing using multiple waterproof layers, each layer must be at least 1.2 mm thick; for roofs requiring Grade I waterproofing with a single-layer system, the thickness must be at least 2 mm.
When embedding reinforcing fabric between coating layers, the thickness of the coating beneath the fabric must be at least 1.0 mm, and the coating above it at least 0.5 mm.
Finish Layer Construction: Lightly scatter clean sand particles over the surface before the final coat cures.
Protective Layer: The surface of the waterproof coating must be provided with a separation/protective layer in accordance with design specifications.

Precautions during application:
Do not allow contact with water. Sedimentation is normal; stir thoroughly before use. This product is classified as non-hazardous and may be transported as ordinary cargo.
Protect the coating from rain before it has cured; do not walk on the surface or perform other work on it.
